Anticipation Builds for the Jesse Sterbutzel Memorial
LATROBE, PA (May 22, 2023) The highest-paying event for the Crate Late Models ever held at the Latrobe Speedway is approaching fast!
The Jesse Sterbutzel Memorial, a 40-lap feature paying $10,000 to win, is on Saturday, June 3.
Jess Sterbutzel was a racer, from Karting to Late Models to Snow Mobiles to Motocross. From dirt tracks like I-79 to Motordrome on the pavement and at many other area tracks, Jess supported his Nephew, Zack Herring’s racing effort by doing everything to get and keep Zack on the track. Jesse passed away on May 31, 2022, following his courageous battle with cancer.
Race 1 will be the Official Tech Inspector for the Inaugural Jesse Sterbutzel Memorial Race at Latrobe Speedway. Approved Crate tires from the three major sanctioning bodies (Crate Racin’ USA, FASTRAK, and RUSH).

Also on the card will be a $2,500 to-win Super Late Model Special and the Joe’s Auto Body & Towing Pure Stocks.
